Deep Dish Dungeon Guide

Corn: Wild Corn, the Corn Gem and Growing Your Own

Updated · Cooking & Crafting

Quick answer

Wild Corn comes from chests and can be gathered; picking it up unlocks the Cooking Table, which you need for the Deep Dish Pizza (ending). The Corn Gem is in a root-blocked chest off the bat dining hall — cut the roots with an Axe.

Why corn matters

Where to find Wild Corn

The Corn Gem

The Corn Gem sits in a chest in a side room of the bat dining hall. Roots block the chest, so bring an Axe. It’s one of the four gems you need for the endings.

Growing corn with a gem

In the full playthrough, placing one of the gems (like the Corn Gem) on a statue makes that crop grow — useful when you run short of corn for pizzas. Watch the second video above for where it’s done.

FAQ

Why can't I build the Cooking Table?

Its recipe unlocks when you pick up Wild Corn for the first time.

Does corn respawn?

Players have asked this on the forums without a confirmed answer. A reliable alternative is growing corn with the Corn Gem on a statue.
